Lesson 2 : Sanding...

The next step after cutting is..............Sanding !!!

Yeah...for sanding there are some tool :
- Sandpaper
- Sanding sponge

- Modelling file

- Sanding Stick...

Now, I'll teach you to make sanding stick by yourself....

First...prepare glue, sand paper, cutter, and ice cream stick.
and then....cut the sandpaper ....

next...glue the sandpaper to the ice cream stick..

Done !!!

Sanding stick is used for flat area...
Now we are ready to start sanding.....

In Gunpla modelling, sanding is use to clean molding, spruee mark and seamline..

- molding : mold trace
why molding must be cleaned ?? Because it make our kit look like really a 'toy'..

- seamline & spruee mark...

Use the file to clean spruee mark if it can't be cleaned by sandpaper..

Be Careful !!! File is used for flat area only !!

And then you can continue sanding with sandpaper / sanding stick until the smoothest grid..

and.....the result is...!!

For sandpaper up to 800 grid, you can use wet sanding technique...

Wet sanding is sanding with wet sandpaper....it will make the sanding result smoother...^^

After sanding...you have to wash your kit's part with detergent for clean the part from oil and dust..
----->>after sanding and wash with detergent..

If the part is rounded....you can use sanding sponge..

So....the part can't be changed to square...

After clean the molding.....

Next Lesson : Snapfit and Seamline free kit....^^
